Moville Celtic sport day has run the last number of years on the August bank holiday Monday, knowing locally as the regatta weekend.
Traditionally the sport were run on the shore green with children races and novelty events, with the move to the Bayfield there is room for a lot more, including 5 aside, music, bonny babe, hanging washing, slippy slope, pole fighting and many more events. The sports were always attraction for people that had moved away from the area to have a reason to come home. The town always had a great Scottish connection at this time of year. The sport day caters for all ages and there is some form of activity for everyone.
